Our History

Tri-State Flooring began serving the floor-covering retailer in 1964 as a component of employee-owned Tri-State Electric in Sioux Falls, SD. In August of 1994, Tri-State Electric decided to liquidate the company, and Tri-State Flooring was purchased by current owner, John Rozell. At that time, the company had 12 employees and served retailers in northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota and South Dakota. Today, Tri-State Wholesale Flooring serves customers throughout South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana with it’s own fleet of trucks and a dedicated staff of 26. In January of 2008 Tri-State Wholesale Flooring moved to a new facility located at 3900 W. 34th St. North in Sioux Falls. Numerous products and manufacturers were added to meet the rising demands of retailers. The new facility contains a large merchandising showroom and a 50 person seminar and training room.
