City I Grew Up In
Sioux Falls, SD
My favorite hobby is fishing, with long distance running a close second. Both allow me quiet time to reflect, manage stress and focus my life on what is most important to me - faith, family and my career.
My favorite food is anything Mexican, but more specifically Tostadas with lots of toppings - Mmmmm!
"If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend 6 hours sharpening my axe." - Abraham Lincoln
If I received a million dollars today, the first think I would do is . . .
I'd pay off my mortgage and any debt, then I'd fund my children's college (I know, practical). If I'm honest, I'd probably buy a nice bass fishing boat, too.
When I was little, I wanted to be a . . .
I had an amazing childhood. It was one of the great gifts my parents gave to me - I was a product of the 80's and found myself lost in sports, hunting, fishing, star wars, he-man, transformers and Nintendo. I'm not sure I wanted my childhood to end, so rarely considered what was next. I was blessed to have some amazing mentors as a young adult who saw gifts and talents in me and pointed me toward a career path in business management. I am grateful for the many ways they poured into me and I strive to pay that forward whenever I can.
Best Part About My Job
Being in a position to positively influence the lives of my fellow employees and customers each and every day. I work with some amazing folks!
I am most proud of . . .
My beautiful wife, Tina and four amazing children - Brianna, Mary, Sam and Sarah. It sounds cliche, but they really are my heart and soul.
In my free time . . .
I am a product of the "geek" culture of the 80's that has somehow become cool today. I enjoy games of all kinds (Lakers/Bears games, video games, card games, board games, etc.), especially those that I can do with others.
Something People Don't Know About Me
I'm a bionic man - I have titanium rods on either side of my spine!
Something I Do Really Well
Sing! I really enjoy it and discovered I had some aptitude in my 20's. I was too busy in sports to really develop it in my childhood. Today, I play a little guitar and enjoy sharing that gift with my church community.
